Grade 7 Eagle Bay Camp Out - Planning Underway!

Planning is already underway for our year-end Grade 7 trip! 

All elementary schools in Merritt will be participating in a field trip to Eagle Bay Camp in Sorrento, BC for three days and two nights (June 10-12). Students will participate in a number of outdoor activities, including archery, swimming, kayaking, a climbing tower, and other great camp activities.

The cost will be $300 per student. This covers the chartered bus, cabin and camp rentals, meals and activities, and the costs for the volunteer supervisors that will be accompanying us ($155 per adult).

The school will subsidize the majority of - if not the entire - cost of the trip for students through our weekly pizza fundraiser, as we did last year. We will notify families if there is a balance to be paid in April 2026. 

Once cabins are assigned to each school, we may reach out to parents/guardians who are interested in attending as supervisors.

Families are reminded to review, complete, and return the applicable forms in the field trip package by Friday, November 7. Feel free to scan/email your completed forms to [email protected].
